Trauma Informed Clinical Supervision / Reflective Practice
Burnout, compassion fatigue amongst staff, overwhelmed, a heightened sense of them against us?
My approach in therapy is to work alongside and with, to understand a problem together, what impact this problem is having and what are the defences (good and bad) in keeping this problem at bay.
I have found that working with organisations can be similar, understanding systemic difficulties, while at the same time listening to individual stories and what brings people to the work in a safe and non- judgemental way. Through this culturally sensitive, trauma informed supervision, we can begin to untangle what makes the work feel at times impossible and start to navigate a way towards better self-care and improved well-being. I offer reflective spaces for staff teams going through stress and individual clinical supervision.
Sessions are organised in groups to encourage peer support and learning or 1-1 when individuals require more confidentiality and tailored support.
