Psychotherapy, Clinical Supervision and Trauma Informed Training

What I offer

I am a Child, Adolescent and Family Psychotherapist working with young people up to the age of 25.

Trained at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust and able to deliver a range of treatments including Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, CBT or EMDR.  My approach is relational and supportive, knowing it can take time to face emotional pain and that a safe, trusting relationship is at the core of a true therapeutic alliance.

Psychotherapy

For young people 18 and younger, it is helpful to speak initially to parent(s) or carer(s) and for them to attend the first session, before offering another two which would form an assessment. We would then think together if therapy would be right to go ahead - we would agree a number of sessions to work together.  Brief therapy can be up to 12 weeks, medium term 24 weeks and longer term up to 2 years.

I know how important it is to find the right person, to feel like you can talk to them. That’s why I offer a free 20-minute telephone or zoom call with parent(s) or carer(s) and a free 20 minute conversation with a young person.
